Our Nursery Theme

Many people have been asking me what my "theme" is going to be for the nursery, and I have to say I guess I don't have one! It's not going to be Winnie The Pooh or Disney or anything like that at least. We went with a pink, green and white theme because the walls are already a limey green and our furniture is white and of course pink because we're having a girl! We got our bedding in about a week ago and it is so cute, so I thought I would post a photo so people can see what it is going to look like. I guess it's just classical girly? We love it and hopefully will have the room set up within the next couple weeks! I'll post a real photo of the nursery then. :)

23 Weeks

Today I am 23 weeks. Almost 6 months along! The photo below shows what the baby looks like inside me right now. I still can't completely wrap my mind around it. I have a baby in there. She is over one pound now and about 11 inches in length!

A New Look

Well, I finally updated my blog and made it fresh and pretty! I chose this pattern because it has the colors of the baby's room in it: pink, green & white. Not an exact match, but very cute still. Hope you like it. :)

I am 23 weeks as of tomorrow and I'm feeling the baby move every day. It's kinda weird. Haha. But thrilling at the same time.

Baby Gymnastics

22 weeks. I finally felt the baby move this week!!!!!! A few days ago, in the middle of the night, I happened to be touching my belly (I was not feeling well that night, but more on that later) when I felt a little kick to my hand. I somewhat dismissed it, but told my doctor about it the next morning at my appointment and she confirmed that it was probably the baby moving! I did not feel anything until the next morning where I felt her moving again! Yesterday she moved/kicked a couple of times that I could feel yet again, and today she is a gymnast! This has been the most exciting last few days and I am so excited to really be feeling her move inside me. She doesn't seem to want to move when I want her to though. Typical, huh? ;-)

As far as not feeling well a few nights ago, I had a major scare of possibly the appendix or gall stones. I was in severe pain in my stomach, but not where the baby is. I could barely walk it was so bad. I finally called the doctor (something I usually refuse to do!) after Ken made me and she had me go to bed and come see her first thing in the morning. Embarrassingly enough, it seems to have been only extreme gas that got trapped. I've never experienced anything so horribly painful before - I never would have thought it could be that! *laughs*

20-Week Ultrasound

The following photos are from our 20-week ultrasound last week, where we discovered that we are having a girl! We are so excited. Photo #1 shows her lying on her back with her legs & feet kicked up over her head. During the ultrasound, she was touching her feet to her head and really seemed to like being in this position, which is how she stayed most of the time. (This is also how we got a really good glimpse between the legs! haha!) Photo #2 shows her side profile where you can see her cute little button nose! Photo #3 shows just her feet. I love this photo. Looks like she might have big feet like her mommy! :)

We are so blessed!

It's a Girl!

Ken and I are overjoyed that we are having a girl! The ultrasound tech got a great look several times and we are 100% sure. So, bring on the pink! :)

I'm exhausted; it's been a long day. I'll post some of the ultrasound pics tomorrow!

The Big Day

I know this is not THE big day, but for me, for now, it is. I am celebrating all the little milestones and all of the joys pregnancy brings. At 2:30 this afternoon we go in for our ultrasound, so hopefully the baby will not be crossing any legs and we get a clear view down there!

The poll is now closed. It looks like 57% think we will have a BOY and 42% think GIRL. WOW - very intersting! (And I just noticed that those numbers don't equal out - apparently Blogger can't count!)

We should be done by 4:30 today, then Ken and I are going shopping! I've been waiting very patiently! :) I'll post later tonight what we find out and see who got it right. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
